Re-Roofing

Marilize and Chris was asked to re-roof two Clay Pan tile lean to roofs on this listed cottage in the Conservation area in Barton. As often with older roofs, we had to replace parts of the wall plates, a couple of rafter feet, both the eaves fascias and the gutters with down pipes. We also had to repair the timber structure holding up the dormer window above the back roof and replaced the lead work for the flat roof on this dormer. We insulated the roofs with a thin insulation quilt and installed a breathable felt as vapour control layer.
