Kitchen Extension

This small two storey end of terrace cottage is situated in Cambridge City Centre. To gain a little more floor space in the very small alley kitchen, we extend along the length of the kitchen, all the way to the boundary into a very small disused side area. We extended by less than 2 metres, but by placing all the kitchen fittings and units along this extended wall, with roof windows bringing in more light from above, we managed to free up some much needed floor space. We installed another window on the end wall and all these subtle little changes, created a delightfully, light kitchen space. This small kitchen was transformed by the creative use of light and space and this changed the kitchen into a lovely and bright family kitchen, big enough to accommodate a dining table.
