Garden Office

In the spring of 2006, Marilize was asked to design and build a Garden Office for a Train Ticket collector. The vast collection of train tickets, paraphernalia and the office equipment was taking up too much space in the house and needed a separate room. Marilize designed a timber structure based on the Walter Seagull post and beam building method and as the client wanted a concrete base, we constructed the timber structure on the concrete plinth, with a green oak frame, breathable soft wood stud structure, treated softwood shiplap cladding and a cedar shingle roof. Internally we vfdggwith a timber clad interior.
